COURSE OVERVIEW

This course blends intensive seminars and discussions about how the Montessori classroom works, with deep-dives into specific Montessori lessons and how they integrate with the whole curriculum. The main components are:

  • Community Workshops (weekly)
  • Seminars (Live Zoom classes with pre / post assignments + assessment)
  • Album Study Assignments (Assignments 1 & 2 + Assessments for Album Study)
  • Classroom Observation Assignments (20 out of the 50 required hours)

Begin your studies with weekly community workshops to orient yourself to your prepared learning environment. Build relationships with your coach and your fellow community of learners. After several weeks of working together, you will attend your online Seminars and continue to meet with your cohort weekly to work on your assignments and ask questions. For self-study time, you should put aside about 5 hours weekly to complete the assignments. The deadline to complete all the assignments for Foundational Studies is typically two weeks upon the completion of the seminars.
